In June 2016 we were contacted by Lush cosmetics to organise a two day event for their international management.
The event was to be held at one of their sites in Poole. We designed and created our plans, and met with the Lush team several times to finalise plans.
In true Lush style, it had to be bright, colourful and creative!
Our plans included building a 30m inflatable cube marquee, a 15m dome marquee and a 10m x 15m stretch tent. We then had over 900 square meters of real turf flooring (that had been grown into felt rather than mud – so no mess!), street food stalls (vegetarian and vegan food), CHILL out areas, and of course all necessary infrastructure such as toilets, sound & lighting, AV kit, furniture, decoration and more.
We also delivered one of our converted shipping container coffee/snack bars.
Furniture for the event came in the fashion of reclaimed/vintage sofas, custom branded wooden crates, reclaimed scaffold furniture, up-cyclyed cable reel tables and other funky items!
The event had 12 areas within the main marquee, all of which were based on areas within the business. We worked closely with each team to make sure their requirements for AV equipment, sound & lighting, furniture and design were all successfully implemented.
These included Lush Times, Music, Visual Merchandising, Customer Services and Pricing and Forecasting to name a few. Lush employees could then visit the areas to learn and be fully immersed in the business.
All this fun works up quite an appetite and we couldn’t let our hard working guests go hungry. We set up a street food market on site where guests could sample vegetarian and vegan delights from traders such Ojo Rojo, The Swinging Grill and Dorset Wood Fired Pizza.
The end result was a really fun, engaging and memorable event for Lush cosmetics management to engage themselves with all areas of the business.
