Networking Rail

We are extremely excited to be able to announce plans for another huge collaboration for Seventa Events – this time with a new operator to the South West Rail Network – Speedyrail. Welcome to Networking Rail! The collaboration will see us purchasing trains and turning each carriage into a different event venue throughout the train.

Our new train will have several different carriage’s, which will all be fully functioning venues, with all of the usual features you would expect from a venue of a similar size (and slightly bigger). Each venue on the train will be available for private hire for a range of events, including networking events, training sessions/seminars, boardroom meetings, private events, private lunches and more.

The idea behind our latest venue is the down to the continued growth of commuting throughout the UK. According to the 2011 census 616,719 people commute to and from London from other areas within the UK, and with the South of England having one of the busiest routes into London, we thought it would be the perfect place to start. As the fastest growing digital economy in the UK, the first routes will be travelling between Bournemouth and London, as research shows this would provide us with the highest demand.

With more and more people spending time commuting to and from London, and often not being able to use the time spent travelling efficiently, we see our new venture as “giving people back 2-4 hours of their day”.

We have been busily working away behind the scenes to make sure there is a demand for the venues, and have already agreed a sponsorship for the networking carriage from the increasingly popular Pure Networking – Dion McCarthy (Founder of Pure Networking) said “Networking on-the-go is a fantastic idea. It saves time and enables commuters to network and socialise with a wide range of business owners and professionals. You never know who you’ll meet on-board!”

With £1.2 billion being invested into the route over the next seven years, the timing couldn’t have been more perfect. We see this as the perfect opportunity to launch the brand and to give people the opportunity to utilise their time better.

The Inspiration

In a very obvious nod to the “golden age” of the railway, when the fastest way to travel was by train and it was extremely luxurious, we will be taking some tips from the era, whilst bringing the service into the 21st century. Below is a mood-board we have taken inspiration from.

The carriages will be extremely flexible and interchangeable for each type of event, whilst also being luxurious, comfortable and practical. Take a look at our 3D visual below.
