Hilton Hotels approached us to help them theme the grand launch of Hilton Bournemouth.

As a brand new £60 million hotel project, the VIP launch was the chance to showcase the hotel and it’s facilities to clients, local businesses, dignitaries and press.

The goal for Hilton.

Our role was to design, create and install themed areas within the event. The theming was based around the South Coast with a beach inspired Dessert station, New Forest themed Charcuterie and Cheese area and a Seafood live cooking demonstration.

We worked alongside the Hilton Worldwide creative team of Chefs to create these special themed areas which were to be both functional and creative, allowing them to cook and serve their creations from.

How we made it unique.

The styling included over two tonnes of play sand and two tonnes of wooden bark chipping. The ballroom is on the third floor, so this required some careful logistical planning. Also included was a four metre replica Oak tree, a Beach hut, giant deckchair, giant bucket and spade and lots of smaller touches such as wooden log slices specially prepared for serving from and a giant fresh fish ice tray.

The end result.

We delivered “above and beyond” the clients vision. Creating some really effective and visual areas within the VIP launch event, which in turn engaged guests with the creative Chef teams and Hilton employees.

The theming went some way towards creating a truly immersive event, which showcased both the abilities and facilities of the Hilton Worldwide team and the brand new Bournemouth location.
