Old Mutual Wealth approached Seventa Events as they were looking for support in organising their annual Diversity and Inclusion Conference.
The main aim was to take members of staff offsite to generate new ideas and communication between teams.
We first looked to secure a unique venue for them to host their conference, something that was different and steered away from the traditional conference venue.
Our choice was the Southampton Art Gallery, a beautiful venue with traditional high ceilings and stunning features positioned in a great location. Even better this venue isn’t traditionally open to the public so instantly gave an exclusive feel to the conference.
Working with the venue we sourced all event furniture required for this one day conference and provided all AV set up required. A fun feature of this conference was the ‘catch box’ microphone, which allowed delegates to throw this soft microphone around the space and use it to raise a question or point throughout the sessions.
As this is not a typical event venue we had to source caterers for the conference and working with them designed a bespoke menu for delegates to enjoy which featured canapés such as Smoked Salmon blini, mini quiches and Thai mango, chilli and lime cups.
With all our client events we provide on-site management to manage all load in and get outs for each conference. This particular venue has strict timings that have to be adhered to, which was easily managed by having a dedicated team member running the load in schedules and delivery schedules throughout the build and de-rigs.
The finished result
By first finding a stunning and unique venue and then subsequently managing all delivery aspects of this conference we were able to produce a stand out event for our client which ticked all the boxes of the initial brief – finding a venue that wows!
The other details that followed, ensured our client could focus on the important content aspect of the conference and getting their message heard to their delegates, without the worry of catering and AV.
