The mission

The team at Queensgate Shopping Centre in Peterborough approached us to help them produce an evening event, based around ‘Martinis, Music and Muses’ inside the shopping centre.

Our approach

We arranged several meetings and site visits with the Queensgate team, to understand the size of the event space and any restrictions we might face.

From the client meetings and site visits we determined the brief, the preferred areas to utilise, access and timings. As soon as we understood what we could and couldn’t do, we set about bringing this unique event to life. The main infrastructure was a 21.5m double-sided exhibition wall and a bespoke 8ft curved DJ booth, which we delivered directly to the venue and assembled on site. The exhibition wall allowed us to separate event areas and the custom DJ booth was for celebrity DJ Lauren Pope.

To make this event even more unique (and seeing as the location was all about fashion) we created a defined male and female style zone. Each zone was filled with props and decorations, providing some brilliant photo opportunities. The female zone featured a white flower wall and white and gold furniture, while the male zone had a Gentleman’s Lounge theme complete with Chesterfield sofas.

We set up an 8 metre event bar and also provided sound and lighting, which kept guests refreshed and entertained during the event.

The outcome

A stylish event that allowed guests to be styled in the latest fashions, and enjoy music from Lauren Pope whilst being served a range of Martinis from the bar!
