We are a very proud company this week. A few days ago was the Dorset Business Awards and we were lucky enough to be nominated for Team of the Year and our Director, Simon, was nominated for Entrepreneur of the Year. Not only were we nominated but we were chosen as finalists in both categories!
The Dorset Business Awards celebrates the achievements of Dorset’s businesses across the county and across all sectors. It rewards high achievers, inspirational leaders and unsung heroes. The Awards have become the region’s leading business awards competition since they were launched in 1994.
Over 160 applicants were whittled down to 33 finalists. The build up to the event meant several photo shoots, video shoots and an event to meet the finalists.
The penultimate week came, and there was a lot of excitement in the office in the build up to the event, a huge buzz about outfit choices (not just from the ladies) and also getting to spend the evening together. We scrub up well don’t you think?
Unfortunately, our MD Simon just missed out on the Entrepreneur of the Year award, but as he said on the night “It couldn’t have gone to a more deserving person”. That’s the spirit!
Our team has never been as quiet as when we were waiting for the announcement for Team of the Year. Then it was announced… the award goes to… Seventa Events! We were no longer quiet, our table erupted with cheers and tears. We even got the moment on film so we can relive it.
We couldn’t be prouder, happier or more thankful and it felt amazing stood as a team together on that stage, thanking our friends and family who are our constant support, our amazing clients for believing in us and of course, the judges for their recognition of our hard work.
